Just realized the t-tops both have a sensor that can tell it when they are unlocked/out or locked in.
How's this work and what's it do?
I thought maybe it was a warning system to tell you they weren't locked in so one didn't fly off, but I don't see how it would know the difference between them being not latched and not even in.
on my 79 its part of the alarm system. the switch grounds when roof panel is removed.sets off alarm horn. simple.
look at schematic in the lower right corner. for the two switches. (roof panel)
hey, thats how my horn was when we bought the car, button mounted at the bottom of the dash, i replaced all the pieces of the horn button at the steering wheel, and the relay, working good now.
