The short answer is no. You have all kinds of clearance issues with the linkages and ground clearance for the sump. Kick outs usually work better but can have issues with exhaust and the starter.
A better question is to ask why you want more oil capacity?
I hav used these with no probs and at the right price, has baffles trap doors 7 qt scrapers etc. Clears everything including steering and can use the 2 qt oil filter if wanted.
If you have the original motor in your 81, you need an oil pan for an 80 or newer.
79 and earlier pans have the 'notch' on the driver side for the dipstick.
80 and newer have it on the passenger side.

If you go with a gated pan, make certain none of the gates bind when installed (BTDT). Also, you might want to plan on adding an accumulator (Accusump) as insurance from loosing prime/pressure in long sweepers, especially if your car is able to pull 1G or more after you get it set up and sorted.
