Default Drive line angle vibration???

Will hanging a degree reading protractor (magnetic) from the driveshaft with the car sitting on a level surface give the measurement I'm looking for? Shouldn't it be about 3 degrees? I'm getting a 1 degree reading. Thanks

no

You need to know the angle of the yokes coming out of the tranny and differential. You want them parallel, but not pointing directly at each other (as in, not making a single, straight line). I don't know if I'm making any sense. Here's a good writeup on driveline phasing.

You'll find conflicting information on the angle necessary for C3's. IIRC when I redid my bushings, the Energy Suspension kit had me at around 2.5* without any shimming. I left it at that and haven't had any vibration issues.

This overly simplified illustration may help you visualize what you're after...

Great pic Skunk. That pretty much sums it up about as good as I have seen it on here.
