Over the years I've managed to really mess up my back. And now long term(more then an hour) in the vette is painful. What comfortable seat choices are there that some of you have used. Are the later, 78PC thru 82 seats better. I've never sat in one but I understand they are a fairly simple fit.
I've got '79 seats in my '78. Direct fit, very comfortable, considerably better lumbar support than the original seats. Really grip your butt in a tight turn, too. :D
I've been looking for some late C3 seats. But haven't had much luck so far.
It's so frustrating not to be able to sit comfortably. What seems to work best for me is a seat with more forward support on the upper legs. For you younger guys never get your back screwed up, it lasts a lifetime.

If you have a few dollars set aside you may wish to consider Recaro seats. And if you use a little imagination you can write them off on your income tax as disability/medical assistive devices. http://www.recaro.com/englisch/index_frames.html
I looked at the Recaro site and someone recently posted about Corbeau seats.
Honestly no price is to high to pay for comfort at this point. But I'd hate to get something that didn't feel any better. As for right off LOL.. the IRS both state and fed have audited me 3 times in last several years all times they said "oh just random" yeah right.

Well as I sit here under the influence of Valium, diazepan and norzapene(SP).
I'm agreeable to most anything :D I've got the skills and tools to make anything fit in there. I probably need to go out and do a "feel" test on some seats. I was just thinking that a few others on the forum suffer from the same malady as I do. And was wondering what there fix was. If anybody has some late C3 seats regardless of condition I'd be interested to negotiate with them.
