Who here has gone from a stock QJ to an Edelbrock carb and intake. I need to see what you did for throttle cable and kick down brackets? nothing fits. Surprise..... Looks like grinding cutting and welding now?
I had to hacksaw off a small nub that Edelbrock did not leave enough room for the factory kickdown/cruise bracket. So i have that working, now just the throttle cable bracket.
This is getting ugly now.. The throttle cable is too long for the Edelbrock carb, there is no travel in the cable. Di you guys make an extension facing forward to stretch the cable out to be able to get WOT.
Well i am dead in the water here guys? I need some pictures of how the throttle cable gets run and connected? i may end up having to by a factoy style QJ intake and new Qj to get this to fit. Some help would be nice here.
Took the stock QJ mount to the machine shop this morning to have it modified. Will post pics with what needs to be done so the next guy doing this can have an idea.

I finally said screw it and had my QJ rebuilt by a pro(per lars recommendations) and its rocks.. Im actually going in the AM to have the guys tweek mine in. Getting it poss re jetted and the dist curved.. I cant wait.. This will be a wrap for my winter projects..1st big cruise is April 10th and it dont stop from there...
Many here have used a Lokar bracket and cable setup (Summit) that is VERY adjustable and works nicely. When I switched to a Holley, I had the same issues you mention and the Lokar setup worked out very nicely. I also updated my {69} 2 piece accelerator rod/lever setup to the later one piece rod - which also helped.
