HEI Wiring: Pink wire optimal?
So I am almost done cleaning up the engine bay and wiring and I wanted to check with the all knowing forum on one item.
When utilizing an HEI dist / ignition, is the pink wire off of the front of the fuse the best source to use for the Batt terminal on the distributor?
I thought I had read this somewhere and wanted to double check.
Secondary question, what is the recommended / minimum wire gauge to use?
Thanks
Shane

Used the IGN terminal in the fuse block with an inline fuse and ran red 12 ga. wire through the firewall to the distributor.

Did you connect from the front of the fuse box like in this pic?

That's where the red 12 ga. wire for the HEI is hooked up. With a 10 amp inline blade type fuse.
