Default Shock mount installation

Got my trailing arms in and ready to install shock mounts and struts. Any trick to installing shock mounts? Thought I would just pound them in with a rubber mallet. BTW- I called Bairs and got a set of refurbished shock mounts -like new- for $50 for the pair. About half the price of new.
Thanls in advance.

The mounts are specific as to which side they go on. There shouldn't be much trouble getting them in, just coat them with Neversieze and tap them in from the back side. Just make sure that you have the right one on the right side of the car.

R. Bruno,

Actually I had to use the same 4-pounder I used to remove the old mounts. Do the following:

While (damn_thing NOT in) && (patience > 0) && (beer <> empty) do {
beat_it_hard();
tighten(nut);
}

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure before I got them in and had to remove them (been there done that- no fun.)
