Getting a 2004R
Ok so I just found a 2004R for 100 bucks! Of course I am going to either rebuild it or have someone rebuild it for me. Now does anybody have a good write up on rebuilding one and/or installing one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am located in Jacksonville, NC so if anyone close by wants to give a hand beer is on me

$100 is a pretty good deal if its not completely shot. Congrats!
I got a Video and a book off an ebay dealer on the rebuild, very good investment, step by step, repeat as necessary etc...
I also bought most of my parts from the same guy, Shift kit, torrington bearing kit, rebuild kit, etc...
I made my crossmember myself, $30 in material. Got the Shifter kit from Shiftworx. All together its a stage 2 tranny and around $800 or a little more in it.

Nope it actually still runs, the guy is pulling it out of his truck right now. I am having my Dad go pick it up Saturday seeing how it is in GA and I am stuck here in NC for now. Next chance I get im going to run down there spend some time with him and grab it up.
