Default Need help going from 3 pulleys to 2...

Is there such a thing as a fan or water pump pulley "spacer"?

For a long time I noticed that I have three pulley grooves coming off my water pump even though my system only uses 1 (for the alternator). I guess the others are for AC and for the AIR system (which I no longer have)

Figured that I might get rid of one and save some rotating weight.

As it turns out, the system includes a long "double" pulley and a shorter single pulley in front. I wanted to just remove the front pulley since I don't need it, but the fan/clutch won't sit against the other pulley flush -- it hits the nub of the water pump.

Anyway, wondering if anyone has encountered this before, and if there is some sort of spacer I could put between the pulley and the fan so it will sit flush. I only need about 1/8th of an inch!

Thanks!

I believe that you can get an idler pully for the system your looking to build. But to tell you the truth, I'm not sure where to get one.
