Default Engine Guru's - LT-1 Heads

Hi All, Spent an hour searching the old threads and I need help. The ad below was on my local craigslist and I can't find information if these heads would work on my L-48, 78 vette. I'm thinking LT-1 heads are specific to Lt-1 blocks, but need opinions and advise. Now running Edelbrock manifold and carb with true duel exhaust and headers. Car runs fine, but want to upgrade to cam and heads this year.

Late model LT1 has revese cooling system so those heads won't work on older small block because of that change. Try finding a 1996 or later Vortec 350 truck head but for the $$$ your probably better off going aftermarket heads because Vortecs will require new intake manifold for installation.

Thanks,in my research I did learn about the reverse cooling and no coolant thru the intake, but these heads being that inexpensive and close to home I tought it a good idea to ask here. And yes ,will be on the lookout for a set of Vortec heads and intake as that has been the plan for a while. After market heads are great idea also.Never know whats gonna turn up.Thanks again.
