Hey guys!...Not from Vancouver but was interested in what you guys thought of the city...I've been interested in visiting that part of B.C. for the last few years and if I like it I'd actually consider moving someday...It seems like such a beautiful place and was wondering what people who actually live there think of it...Although there's so many mountains around there I wasn't sure if there'd be alot of Corvette owners around the city...All I ever hear is that it's too hard on your transmission to have a nice car but I have had a hard time accepting that...Is it a nice place to cruz in the Vettes???...Thanks for any replies fellas!...

:)

Signal, I lived there for years and my parents still do. I you move out there make sure that you have new weather seals on your T-tops to keep the rain out. It is beautiful but very expensive for housing. The mountains are beautiful to look onto as well. We used to live in a part of North Van. called Deep Cove, where everyonce in awhile we could see killer whales swimming up the inlet. Hey Rochester is not far from us Toronto Area VetteBoys we should meet this spring. I have some sites and pics of VCR. if you want to see - email me at gdhurst@yahoo.com

Hey Signal, :seeya

Hows it goin ? umm, ive lived in vancouver all my life, im 16, and i really do enjoy it, im in my second block at school right now its a spare and in my first block we actually had a debate on article that my teacher brought in. the article was from the vancouver sun it was saying that vancouver was the NUMBER 1 city in the world but this year some place called Zirch was is number one. Apparently we've been number one for a long time. The one and only thing i dont like about vancouver is the weather. it rains lots .... but not in the summer .. its always sunny  downtown vancouver is the BEST everyweekend i pretty much go down there to go for cruises with my buddies so much to do down there and you see so many nice cars . but there is one area there that is just a bunch of no good BUMS and CRACK addicts .. LOL :spam where abouts do you live now? Im really interest in have a little get together/ meet kinda thing where we could all just hang out and talk about our vettes. so gimme a shout but that stuff :)
and ill ttyl

I'd be interested as well - still looking for the perfect C3 so I can drop an LT1 into it :D. (I used to own a 4th Gen. Z28 so I'm kind of biased towards fuel-injected muscle - you can't complain having ~300RWHP and still get ~400kms/tank :yesnod: .

My car club has cruises all the time - we have show and shines, drag race events, etc. Check out our local board: http://www.camaroz28.com - scroll down to "Pacific Northwest Regional" and you'll find many enthusiasts, most own F-body's though. My screen name on that forum is "LuCiFeR97Z28" - drop by and say hello  .

Some friends and I are also setting up a British Columbia car club focussed on domestichigh-performance vehicles :) . You guys should use the Corvetteforum.com member locator - you'll see a ton of Vette owners in the area.

Signal this city is the absolute finest in the world - the real estate market is hot right now and the scenery is among the best.

PS - If any BC members see any good C3's for sale, please let me know ASAP!!!

Hey RaC3R

I looked at your camaro site you suggested and i saw the board but i couldnt find any local events posted they were all from the u.s . But im really interested in coming to any of those so keep me up to date with those by email or just post. And everyone else i was thinking about the meet and maybe we could do it at a restaurant somewhere in between us so neither of us wouldnt have to travel that far. What are all your opinions ?

Hey Dan,

In the coming weeks you will be getting some more emails from me so be prepared :D. In case you forgot, it was I who kept pestering you for info regarding the LT1 Conversion - so far I've bought the LT1 and the 4L60E but have not yet found the perfect recipient C3 ;). Let me know if you see anything south of the border...OR...if you wanna sell me yours  .

Take care and thanks again for all the help, past and future :hat .

It is me again
There is an event in Nanaimo
Sunday, July 7th, 11-3pm
4th Annual "Tom Harris / Victoria Corvette Club" Shine & Show
Tom Harris Chevrolet , 2590 Bowen Rd., Nanaimo

May be we could cordinate somthing on that day, it is always a great time

It is real simple to get to from the ferry. We could display corvette forum logo in the window or somthing so we would know who is who.
Just an idea  :D

I spent 9 years on Whidbey Island as a member of the Majestic Glass Corvette Club.

Found a couple of interesting links:

BC Corvette Club http://www.bccorvetteclub.com
Victoria Corvette Club http://www.victoriavette.com

As for events, don't forget BC Corvette's "Thunder in the Mountains" at Whistler, August 2-5. I get back to Whidbey late July and may try to make it.
