Side window removal
Having difficulty removing the side windows I am turning to your experience.
I can see two small slash screws in the horizontal rail which are accessible when the window is almost crancked up. But they are complet stuck at both doors. At the back of these there is a hexagonal nut, which is stucked as well.
About to drill them out, but want to check your opinion.
Is this the correct way to remove the window, or did I overlook something?

Okay, I don't have a real good pic of this but you will see on the bottom of the window the metal piece with the slot for the rollers on the regulator to slide. This piece is bolted onto/thru the window. But the slotted piece is ALSO attatched to this piece. The screws are inside the slotted groove where the rollers slide. My screw were so rusted I had to drill them out. This pic will sort of show it but not the specific screws. When you replace the screws make sure they are a VERY low profile head so the rollers don't jam on them as they slide from side to side.

If you go to this link on my old post you will see more pics and problems I had and it may help you.

Good luck and don't hesitate to ask more questions.

PS here's another post explaining how to adjust everything after you get it back together. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...sm-repair.html

Your picture gives a good indication of the assembly.
Apparently you had the same issue as me. I will go ahead and drill the two counter sunk screws.
BTW, nice car as well. Like your avatar photo. Where is that taken?
