Default no.4 mount rivets

I'm replacing the no.4 mount bracets on the body.I buzzed off the rivets that held them on.Now,was there an adhesive on the mount and can I use standard "pop" rivets instead of the alum ones that the factory used.It would be a two man job to peen them over otherwise.thanks in advance

Pop rivets would work. You may need to add a washer on the inside. No glue required.

Some folks have actually done this using small Stainless Steel machine screws. Someone posted pictures of the job they did using them a while back, you may be able to do a search and find the thread.

Good luck... GUSTO

I used the factory style rivets for all but the outer rivets. Those two I couldn't get a good shot at it due to the inner fender.

I used a standard pop rivet here and all was well.

The factory rivets are definately a two man job.
