Air conditioning dryer accumulator
I need to replace the dryer on my 1980. Here is a picture of the one that came on the car.
And his is the one i can get from the local parts store. It is a universal one? Not sure if i want to go this way.
Does anybody know where i can get the factory style one? Ecklers has one, but it is double the price of the one i can buy here?

I bought a replacement for my 80 from one of the sponsor vendors here and it was not a good fit at all. I had to do some modification to get it to fit. I should have sent it back. Was in a hurry to get it going.
I hope you have better luck finding one that fits properly.

Still might not be right though, mine doesnt have the third small nipple on it? not sure it can be caped off or if it will need to be welded up?

I used the universal one on my 79. It was a very tight fit. the one like the original is alot easier to install

I bought a new one from GM but it has been a few years. Did you try the dealer? If not I would try Dr Rebuild. The universal ones are not bad, but you do have 1 more place to possibly leak.
