I have a 600 cfm elect choke edelbrock carb on my 69 with 327 it seems the bowls are leaking and flooding the eng and you have to crank until you get fuel back up to carb.is this something I can fix?
I have this same carb. I ran it for a short while on my 1971 454 while I was getting a rebuilt quadrajet.
I had a similar problem due to rust in my fuel system. My needle valves were leaking. I took them out cleaned them up and put them back in and it ran for a few more weeks, until my quadrajet was ready.
If you plan on keeping this carb on your engine you should replace the needle and seats. You should be able to get a rebuild kit from a local parts store or order online from Jegs or Summit.
It's a really simple carb to work on. You can probably find a schematic on the internet. Good luck.
