Top A-arm bolts.......
I think I already know the answer to this one, but...
Any way to get to them (and PROPERLY torque w/ loctite
) short of removing the radiator shroud, or maybe the radiator as well??
Yea, yea...I installed poly's and the bolts are starting to come loose (didnt know about the loctite w/poly'sat the time).
Thanks,
Rob

If there is, I couldn't figure it out. I also could not remove the shroud without also removing the radiator itself.
I started with a front suspension rebuild in May of 2008, I now have a new engine that is e-fan wiring and a radiator hose away from running.
If I had it to do over again, I'd probably take a saw to the shroud and cut it out in pieces, and then go with e-fans for a while rather than de-commission the car for as long as I have, but the motor needed help anyway, so I reordered things a bit.
Here is my saga , I forgot that one guy mentioned that he drilled a 1" hole in the shroud to access the bolt. That's probably better than going scorched earth on the thing with a sawzall.

Are you trying to remove the studs?
I used a slide hammer with a finger like hook --[||||]----)
From the wheel well, I slide hammered 4 of them out.

You just want to redo the shaft bolts? Why don't you just pull the a-arms out again? It takes me 30 minutes to pull down a front corner of a C3.

Thats a great idea....though it would probably take me longer than 30 minutes!!
But...I might use pulling the radiator as an excuse to install a Hot Cam, AFR 195's and an intake!!!!
Boys will be boys...."Honey, I HAVE to remove the radiator, may as well...."

With poly
As you wriggle & curse ... getting to those end-bolts ... make dang sure you get inside the xshafts' threads & flush out well with brake/carb cleaner ... same goes for bolts threads ... all dry ... only then will threadlocker work.

30 minutes. Heck, nothing on my car takes 30 minutes. Takes me at least a half hour to prime and start it
.
