Ok, I'm getting near that finishing my running gear, and wanted to get some additional recommendations. Right now I'm installing the VB&P front mono leaf and the rear dual mount leaf. I'm going to end up with either 245/45/17 or 255/50/17 on the rear + front both. The car is a 4-speed with a 4:11 rear, and I am a hard driver, have gone to racing school and maybe will autocross her.
What I am looking for is recommendations for shocks, swaybars and alignment settings. Plus any other ideas you have ;)
The alignment specs are in the new VBandP catalog on page 6. They recommend using the Bilstein "sport" shocks and a 1-1/8" front and 3/4" rear sway-bars. You could also use a Koni adjustable if they're set right.

Ah thats the whole problem then, they'd need to actually ship me a catalog for me to have that. I think I've filled out the online request form 3 times over the last 6 months, still no catalog....
Black 68....that bites :(. I hate it when you request info and get no response. Heck I've received 2-3 of their catalogues and haven't ordered a thing from them ever....although I plan on it eventually. I just assumed they got my name from one of the vendors I normally buy stuff from.

I filled out that online form months ago, and finally received my 2002 catalog today. Keep checking your mailbox....
I found that i got better steering input with 255.50.17 rear and 225.50.17 front with Koni adjustables.....i tried it with the 255 on the front but it was hard to get it to turn in properly on autocross tracks.....i had to use way too much throttle steering to overcome the tendency to understeer with the bigger fronts.......with the slightly smaller fronts i get a lower front end(only half inch)which also seems to help with brake feel and enables a quicker turn in particularly on slower corners......guess you just have to experiment to see whats suits your driving style best....john :chevy

Hmm good point, and I am manual steering too.. maybe the 245/45/17 all around then.. I want to go with same size (and non-directional) if I can the whole way round, so I can get a set of 5 and rotate around... I guess with the 2000 miles a year tho, that hardly matters...
