Floor shifter help / comments needed
Is my auto floor shifter supposed to be pulled out of park & run the the gear pattern with the key off? Cuz it does and for some reason after 5 years, this bothers me as possibly not being correct??

Do you have a steering column lock. Maybe your cable has broke or somehow has come apart. Linkage to tranny and steering column create the lock, and should not be able to shift, while it is in lock and key removed.

No, no cable or anything. I know my buddies 77 has a cable that goes to his trans. My 78 has nothing?
