Default TV setup for a 700r4

What exactly is needed to complete the TV system for a 700r4. I just finished having my 700r4 (from a 1991 Camaro) built up for my 1980 vette that I just put a 383 hyrdaulic roller motor in.

I ordered the EZ-TV system, BTO Xmember, and shiftworks kit all from BTO. What Im wondering now is do I really need all the stuff in the TV kit....like the carb plate? Or is that kit just overkill?

Heres the link to the kit...what do you think?

You need those parts, if you really dig you could get them for much less. Look for 83-89 Truck, van, Caprice, etc. with Quadrajet carb and a 700R4 in the junkyard or maybe Ebay. That would give you the correct cable and bracket. You must have the TV cable and adjust it with any 700R4 or 200R4 swap or you will burn up the trans in a few minutes.

What carb do you have and intake? I went through it with Q-j and holley carbs. both.

haha yah. Im not rushing it, Im still waiting on the BTO order to get here. The transmission is built and just waiting for that stuff from BTO so I can install it.

I have an Edelbrock RPM Airgap and Edelbrock Thunder Series 650cfm.

The link above is for the EZ-TV system specifically for my carb.

Should be OK just follow their directions and there customer service is good--at least they will talk to you and try to help. Mine seemed to go easier with the pan off so I could see what was going on with the throtle valve. Pack of crackers and a coke works well when it gets testy!!

lol thanks man. Im on a 24hr shift today and saturday...so hopefully ill be tackling this early next week.

I cant wait! Once this is done its time to fire the new motor for the first time in the car...rather than on the stand just after we finished the build.

I still have one issue to over come....my radiator wont line up in the core support right....this is only speed bump Ive hit throughout this whole process....and its ridiculous because its the same radiator that was in there before
