81 4 spd car with BW T-10.... want a better then stock shifter. having an issue finding a hurst comp plus shifter, summitt says they no longer make it Need part numbers for shifter and install kit

So I spent half the day looking for hurst part number 3738621. this is the install kit for a comp plus shifter. Nobody has it anymore. I know its a T-10 and I know I have an 81. BUT: that part number is for 80-81 only WTF

I have the stock shifter but it's dragging, hard to shift. guess I can just rebuild that one. Wanted a short throw.

not to start a heated debate but the question is: what shifter do others have? maybe, just maybe you should have spent some of that vett money on some public education
