Solid diff x-member locating kit. If you tend to push hard on occasion but don't want to go so far as to eliminate the bushings altogether IMCO you should get one. I prefer a 3 piece kit which includes a disk for the pinion support bracket.

If we're talking about the same thing, to quote Guldstrand, those [aluminum oversize washers] "help eliminate crossmember movement caused by large tires, high cornering loads and engine torque."
I have to say, it's worth the pocket change to better locate your diff. The factory style rubber differential crossmember mounts allow your entire rear suspension to move and change geometry since the differential IS the control arm mounting point. Great for selling a quiet, soft riding car, not so much if you like corners.
Let me understand this a litlle better.. They are used with the old bushings in place right. And once You install them You get better handling and still a smoth quiet ride right.
Thanks...
I can't say much about street car parts, but I can say if it keeps your differential still, it's a good thing. I would solid mount it, were it mine. -Jeff

Yes, I've had them on my shark for ages and satisfied that they help a lot.
Eliminating the bushings (on my do list) is IMCO best considered a hardcore type mod, but if that's where you're going with it I have the dimensions of the bits you'll need to have fabbed up.
I am just searching around, in the process of redoing a 78 Vette, really want to eliminate that rubber bushing, very surprised no poly or alum bushings are out there, but I have access to a machine shop if you can e-mail me the dimensions, I was thinking of a welded in shock bar and replacement diff mount possibly.

I've never seen any poly mounts available, but you could fabricate your own with some work. I did it about 10 years ago. Made them from polyurethane casters and cut out the wheel ending up with round poly bushings that I compressed with a steel plate. I also used the aluminum disks to help hold everything together.
Did this when I moved the differential crossmember up relative to the frame to improve geometry. Nothing too tricky but it wasn't an easy job.
