Question about power window suddenly not working
Today at lunch the switch no longer works for my driver's side power window. The passenger one works fine. When I push the switch, the volt gauge moves a tad just like the passenger one does when it works. Does this help diagnose the problem any?
Now my window is stuck down and my garage isn't cleaned out to put the car in there tonight! Guess I know what I'll be doing after work now!!

Thanks,
Warren
In my case the motor drive gear was wedging itself into the glass regulator gear and binding enough to prevent initial movement. After 2 attempts at copious amounts of lube and slightly adjusting my window up position I purchased a new output gear from autozone (gear #4290).
I installed the gear without removing the regulator and the window now works perfectly.
(If you use the autozone gear you will note that it has a "push nut" holding the gear in place on the output shaft. I did not remove this nut but I really should have put a corresponding chamfer in the bushing that presses against this push nut and holds the gear in place. Some drag will occur if you do not chamfer the bushing or remove the push nut.)

open door w/ stuck window.
start engine & leave running.
hold window switch in closed position.
SLAM door shut while holding switch closed.
