Thanks for the tip Solid LT1. To be fair, I generally have good luck with Corvette Central.
What irked me was not knowing there are two different types of window seals, replacement and reproduction. I would rather pay a bit more and get a proper fitting part. I've been working on this car since 1991, frame off. Not a restoration for show, more a nice clean reliable driver for an occasional spin. It has come a long ways, last thing I want now is to put poor fitting parts into it.

I'll check out Wilcox next time I order parts. Thanks.

So their answer is the cheaper ones are not made correctly but they still stock and sell them? It isnt more expensive to make a part to the right dimensions. Even poor third world countries can measure and cut a rubber seal.

Man I just made custom panels for my '81, and had to fix the old backers - I used resin and fiberglass to fix all the cracks and breaks, it worked great, but after getting them on they were bowed a bit too. No real way to get them to sit flat, so I bit the bullet and screwed them in using matching screws and washers (correct for teh interior). one at each corner, and they actually look like they're supposed to be there.
Point is, if you're careful and think about it you can do this and it won't look bad at all

If you sell Corvette Accessories of America interior parts I guarantee you will have problems. Maybe your customers haven't gotten along far enough on their restorations to run into these problems.

I'm pretty sure your shipping the same stuff everyone else is selling. Maybe you can post some photos of your "perfect fit" interior parts.

We have been selling Corvette parts since 1977 and have had thousands of customers complete full frame-off restorations, using us 100% of the way. Not sure what you mean by that comment; we are not new kids on the block here. We move a lot of interior items as well, and the return ratio is very small.

I didn't state that everything we sell is a perfect fit. There are hundreds of items that we sell that are "as good as it gets" because nobody makes a better one and there isn't enough demand to warrant it.

What I'm stating is that we stand by our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If you are not totally satisfied, return the part; no questions asked.

For more on our guarantees, read here: Our Guarantee

As far as selling the same thing everyone else does: Hey sometimes there is only one manufacturer of an item. Of course we will all sell it. But we go to great lengths to find the highest quality parts that are available, many times that means carrying a more expensive item than our competitors; but it is what a Zip customer demands and we wouldn't feel comfortable selling the cheapest version of everything out there like many companies do.
