Default OK, what is this wire?

Just noticed this loose wire:

I have no clue. I can't find a mating wire or open terminal anywhere. In this picture you see the wire propped up against a brake line at the M/C. The insulation is dark orange color and the end of the wire has a rubber cup-shaped boot on it. This is about as far as the wire stretches, it joins a bundle almost directly beneath where you see it go out of sight.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Chris

Not sure but maybe to the top of your proportioning block. The block that all of your brake lines go to.
