Wow it literally has been like 3 years since I've been on the forum and 6 years since my Corvette was legal to drive on the street....time sure does fly. I am finally getting my procrastinating butt motivated to get the Corvette out this year, it has been way too long.
I have an 11:1 compression 454 big block with 168 tooth aluminum flywheel. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be the most suitable starter for my application?
A high torque OE starter or the small gear reduction GM that fits both SB and BB except its metric,,,,,,You cant beat good OE replacements. They start all my big ones with ease with or without headers.....

Thats what I did to my BB, I picked a new GM mini starter and its SAE threaded bolts from ebay for $170, the fit was perfect and its still GM quality part.
