Plug wire boot angle with big block and hooker sidepipes?
Those of you with big blocks and hooker side pipes, can you please advise what spark plug boot angle fits best (ie. straight, 45 degree, 90 degree, combo of all the above).

My exhaust is stock, but even so the 90-degree boot 'fits' snug....
...may I suggest 45-degree boots ? - I think it'll give you ample clearance and will keep the boots from burning up. ;)
IF your running A/C - it'll be tricky and you might need a 180-degree for plug #8 & possibly #7 if your pipe gets in the way.

I bought the Moroso universal 8 MM Blue Max wires with the 135* boots and I am running headers, not side pipes, but I would think the tube clearances out of the head would be pretty similar. They work great. I ran a separator unit down the bottom side of the valve cover, but over the headers. It looks clean and I have not burned a single boot, but I did thermally wrap about 5" of the #3 header because it comes fairly close to the boot. The 135* would be what you consider a 45* boot.

I just have header but I have straight boots. I use three boot socks for the tight ones. My BB tow rig uses 8 boot socks as it was melting boots left and right. These boot socks should always be used with headers.

Thanks guys. We rough installed the side pipes tonight (especially after the torch and sledge hammer on #3 exhaust pipe on the steering gear box) and saw what you were talking about. I have a set of Taylor 135 degree racing this way from Summit.
