Default set timing with computer car
before the computer you unpluged the vacume hose to the distributor before setting the timing. What do you do on a 81 with the computer controled distributor?

Default Timing
Unplug the 4 wire connector to the Distributor and set the base timing.
Hope this helps set it about 12 degrees and if it pings back off a wee bit

Default 4-wire plug?
Tried that, car would not start with that plug off.

Default three plugs
There are three plugs, two single wire (batt and tach) and one four wire. How could I get it wrong?
