Speedo issue '74
Both my tach and speedo were not functioning when I bought the car last year. 74 4-spd coupe. I successfully swapped the tach cable and cross drive gear last night and moved onto the speedo tonight.
I unhooked the cable from the speedomoter and then went under the car to find the other end at the transmission. I found the cable attached to a 90 degree connector but that was just hanging there. I can see where it did attach. I can slide the end of the 90 degree piece over the other piece coming out of the trans but it doesn't seem to seat all the way over the piece. Am I missing a part or do I just need to apply some more pressure to put this piece back on? The cable itself appears to be okay.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
