NEED HELP ON CHOOSING HEADERS FOR 68 BIG BLOCK
I NEED HEADERS FOR A BIG BLOCK AND I HAVE SEEN POST THAT HOOKERS HANG TOO LOW. HAS ANYBODY HAD GOOD LUCK WITH ANY OTHER BRANDS. THANKS, JOHN. :confused:

I've heard the same thing about Hookers. I've got Hedmans and haven't had significant clearance problems- you just can't go bouncing over speed bumps. I think there was a link here within the last coupla days to a set of Hedmans for your car that were for sale on ebay. If you buy new I highly recommend spending the $$$$ for the heat coating- I wish I had. Paint will only hold up so long before it starts looking like caca.

I think the hooker supercomps you heard about are the undercar ones with 2 1/8" primaries. I have the ones with 1 7/8" primaries which bolt up fine and, yes, are slightly lower than stock but shouldn't be dragging unless you have other problems (worn suspension, rear spring shot, etc.) It all depends how much power you want or have. If you are going above 500fwhp, you may want to consider the Hooker sidepipes which offer 2 1/8" primaries but bring them out the side instead of under the car. Good luck! :cheers:
