Default Holley 4160 TV & throttle cable setup

Hey,
I just spend half a day browsing all old posts and still am not sure what to get.
The engine is a 350 deluxe crate with a Holley 4160.
I bought all the required brackets for the 4160 (cam & bracket) and installed a GM TV cable which is installed.
Now for the throttle cable : as the 1974 is not available anymore I bought a 75+ cable, which like already mentioned in other posts is too long. (approx 1 inch)
Many have swapped over to Lokar but I reaaally don't feel like taking the GM TV cable out anymore as it is a pain to hook it up transmission side.
Would the Holley bracket (square hole) accept the lokar replacement throttle cable?
The Lokar cable pedal side is a U shaped bracket with a clevis pin. How would this connect to the standard pedal (with the plastic cup) ?
Is the holley bracket a solution? Is it adjustable enough to comensate the longer cable ?

Also, currently there are no return springs. If you temporarely fix the cable to the carb bracket, the mechanism doesn't return, so the carb springs are too weak. Is this normal?

Any help is appreciated, as I'm fed up with ordering parts which I can't use

Thanks in advance,
Nick

Bit the bullet and bought the Lokar kit. Seems like the easiest way and get rid of the Holley bracketery. I only hope there is a easy way to fix it to the gas pedal rod ?

I put the Lokar cable on and I used the original Corvette throttle cable plastic bushing. Remove the metal bushing from the Lokar by pulling the Lokar cable fully out of the sleeve and install the plastic bushing while the cable is out. The re-install the cable into the Lokar sleeve and your done.
