I have one on my 383, i'm thinking aboub going to a duel plane for low end power, single plane manifolds make power at high rpm's, like up around 7000.

It was a very big seller in the 70's and 80's. I ran one on a 350 in a '64 Vette once. It's a relatively small plenum and runner intake and they ran well for their time...and not so bad today. They aren't really a 7000 rpm type single plane...though they will get there. Depending on what you're putting it on it could work very well.

Hey Cam, I used to sell HP parts many years ago (in the 70's and 80's). The intake you describe is a 2,500 to 6,500 rpm intake - just like the original Eelbrock Torker. Yeah, technology has passed it by somewhat, but it would still be a good piece for a guy looking for performance at a bargain price. If you are looking for every ounce of horsepower, you'll want to either do some porting/matching work on it and your heads or buy a newer tech piece. I'd keep it and make a few mods if the spirit moved me.

Default Holley Manifold

I have a new dual plane Holley Street Dominator, if anyone is interested. These were great manifolds.
