Default That Noise!
When I try to power brake my 76 (auto) I hear a loud kind of buzzing/grinding sound. I sounds like its coming from the front of the car. Anyone know what it could be?

When you power brake,the engine torque will rock the engine.Maybe the fan is rubbing the schrould or a pully is rubbing,look for a sign of something close that will get closer when the engine rocks,you may have a bad motor mount. John

I'll stick my head under the hood tonight with someone else at the wheel. I wouldn't think it would be the front rotors.
