Default l48 engine rebuild

Hi just thought I would shoot this out. I just rebuilt my L48 350 I will list the new parts
Lunati voodoo cam and lifters
new main and rod bearings
new Edlebrock performer intake
new push rods
new roller rockers
new hydrolic lifters
new valve seals new regrind
new brass valve guides
new roller timing chain and gears
had quadrajet rebuilt
new rings

My main problem now that the engine is in it won't fire. I tried the first time and backfired so I checked timing and fixed that. now it turns over but seems not to want to fire at all. any help will be appreciated.

Check for vacuum leaks, any hoses not connected etc..

Also rotate the distributor while cranking, could be in the wrong place

In my neck of the woods ... that's not so much a rebuild ... more of a rering&bearing job ... w/ intake, cam & rockers.

No pistons listed ... implies same old L48 LOW compression ~ 8:1 ... hope that voodoo ain't too much cam for low comp.

also check if valves-lifters set too tight; holding valves open.

to the basics
check spark. full power to dist., also crank with plug out to see spark.
check timing, this should include valve adjustments
check fuel, be careful no car-b-q's
would guess you already did this but i know how it can be in the moment those little details will get ya.

good luck

Thanks to all for your help. I did line the dots on the gears for initial set up. The rockers are full roller and I followed per their instructions to A "t". By the way just because you don't put new pistons in dose not mean it isn't rebuilt. the lunati cam I am using is the 60103 with lift at the valve of .489 intake and .504 exhaust rocker ratio is 1.5 in and ex the new lifters valve springs retainers and valve locks installed height 1.750 equaling 108 lbs. I'm wondering if the straight up timing is wrong for this cam set up. meaning line up mark and 1 cylinder. any ideas?

Can you do a compression test? That might narrow the problem search.

Dots lined up = #6 on firing stroke. I think that your dist is 180 degrees out.
