Default trailing arm ?

Are 1963/64 trailing arms interchangable with the 68 - 72 trailing arms?

'63-'64 had drum brakes, and the bare arms are listed as '63-'64

I see the catalogs list trailing arms as '63-'64 or '65-'82.

After a little more searching I see the offset trailing arms are listed for '63-'82 but I bet those are set up for disc brakes.

I've got a set off a '68 if you need any close up pictures and/or measurements, let me know.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at a set which were for sale locally. The guy had a good price on a rebuilt set with only 1K miles oin them. I was going to purchase them to save some money on the 72 a am restoring right now.

The 63-64 arms did not have the bracket on them for mounting the parking brake cable and/or the brake hose. You need to add these brackets either from your old arms or purchase new ones and weld them in place to make them work.

LIke Wilcox said.. you can buy those TA/s and add the brackets.

We're talking just the bare T/A here. A lot of the build parts are different.

Clams is dead on.. I missed the part about the units being rebuilt... The spindles are different and the cars for 63-64 had drum brakes.. so if they are together you can not use the assembly. Just the arms with some mods..
