Default Headlight Actuator Question

I'm sure this has been asked before but when I tried searching this topic but got 25 pages of results. After I couldn't find my answer on the first page of results I figured it would be easier to ask.

Is there a way to test the diaphram on the actuators?

My lights were not going up or down. I tested everything with my might vac and have identified two issues.

1. Vacumm canister was not holding vacuum due to a crack. I made a temporary repair just so I could get the canisiter to hold vacuum. I will be ordering a new one of these.

2. Faulty Actuator. My boots and seals are trashed. Before I order those, I wanted to verify that the diaphram is still good. I would hate to order the rebuild kit to find out that the actuator needed replacement anyhow.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thx.

Test the side without the seal and that will tell you if the diaphragm is good.
