You may want to check Harbor Freight. They have good prices on tools that you may need just on occasion.

buy a dial indicator and a mag base harbor freight has them u can use it for alot more projects

I went ahead and bought one from them for checking my rotors and am happy with it as well. Magnet is pretty strong and will not move once its' set up.

Not correct - that's for resurfacing them. O/P was referring to MEASURING the runout which is a DIAL INDICATOR.
