Looks great - be proud of the work. Suggestions
1. Prime the oil pump and make sure you develop pressure on the gauge.
2. Set the initial timing to about where 8-10 degrees is before the start and should fire right off.
3. After start, bring the speed up to 2000 and hold for 20-25 minutes to break in the cam and lifers. Use a floor fan to pump air into the radiator.
4. Let it cool and change the oil and then enjoy the ride.
2. If the engine fires, but won't run up to speed, the timing could be very retarded, which (if you put your foot in it to get the revs up) could result in some VERY hot exhaust pipes. Hence #1 above.
Been there, burned a speedo cable that was touching an exhaust pipe. Am very glad I had the means to put out the fire.

Noel, guys....I have had TWO differant t-stats on two differant engines stick closed on me during cam break in....had to stop engine and gut the t-stat in order to stop overheating.....
hose the radiator down alot....
and run a gutted t-stat....restrictor plate....
