First gear felt weak tonight.
Drove my car home, and manually shifting, noticed first gear seemed relatively irresponsive.
TH700R4, 3.55:1 rear. 700R4 has less than 10k miles on it, possibly less than 5k. Going into second the car seems to get a surge of power, and second seems more responsive than first. Running Lars timing kit w/ 8.5:1 compression. Timing 8 deg @ idle, 34-36 max in the low 2K rpm range. 89 octane gas, which was a recent switch. Acceleration seems slower than normal to first (decided to stop running 91 and switch down to 89), and definitely seems to sputter a little past 4k. Any ideas?
Carb bog?
Cheap gas?
Problem w/ tranny?
TIA.
