Can't turn the key on my passenger's side key hole. Gonna take it apart in the morning, anyone know how to fix this? Hopefully it just needs to be wiggled around and re greased. TIA
The door lock cylinders can bind up, but putting grease in there may be what caused the problem. Lock cylinders use powdered graphite and not grease for lubrication. Grease will attract dirt and bind up the cylinder in the case.
The problem may be an issue with the door latch, so inspect both and while you have the lock cylinder out! It is also a good idea to snag the code off the side of the lock cylinder! Gm put the original key code on them all. If you ever lock your self out, you'll have it! This code can be converted to the actual key cut by any good lock smith.
Mine locked up a few weeks ago and I had to pull the inside of the door panel off to get to it to unlatch it. I greased it though, hope that doesn't cause a problem, didn't know it would.

You can grease the latch, but if you put grease in the lock cylinder it will collect dirt. It will take a very long time in most cases so you'll be just fine.
The issue is that you have to cast parts rubbing each other, combined with tumblers and tiny springs.. they just gum up and fail over time. Using powdered graphite prevents this from happening.
