400 doesnt seem to bad, im ready to make my vette alittle louder now that i dont drive it as much as i used to. bye bye magna flows. i mite keep the h pipe with the chambered mufflers and see how that works. thanks for the replys
i got mine a few years ago off ebay for 369 shipped.
at idle, theyre quiet enough to hang around the back of the car and have a conversation with ease. go WOT though, and they get damn loud.
I put the chambered exhaust on my 68 and they are under the car just like the normal exhaust would be. They are loud when you punch the car but are quiet enought to hear the radio when you are cruzing.
I really like the sound that the chambered exhaust has especially when you have a nice racing cam with a good lope to it like my 68 does. Everyone thinks it is a big block when they hear the car even though it is a 327.
You really do not need a complete exhaust system. Just purchase the chambered sections and have them welded in place. Classic chambered sells the sections at different lengths and diameters and are reasonably priced. The website is www.classicchambered.com. I wish purchased the sections from them before I purchased my chambered exhaust system from MAD. I spent over $300 (in 2006) for those.
Check out Mamotorworks.com I paid ithink it was $ 300 from manifold back including exhaust tips.

I was just looking at this one today, except the one that includes the headers as well. Anybody running the full system with the headers and the magnaflow mufflers?
