Default Painting questions

Currently i'm in the process of getting my car painted. The color is the '08 jetstream blue.

After the first parts were done I noticed that there were some minor imperfections left (waves). Apparently the bright shine of this paint scheme brings everything to the surface.

I'm pretty sure that I got most imperfections out in the primer and sanding work, but nonetheless the can be noticed now.
The plastic parts and new fiberglass parts are worst in this respect, which makes me wonder if it has got something to do with shrinkage of these parts.

Anyway. Would it be possible to color sand/buff these out or would I need to have the painter redo them ?

Thanks

With paint and especially semi clear paint it's very hard to know if sanding would help without seeing the paint properly in the sun or wide band flourescent bulbs. If you can post a picture that you think highlights the problem, or can describe it in more detail then perhaps someone here can comment. The term waves can apply to any number of problems.

Are they wavy lines like perhaps you overcoated the overlapping area between sweeps? If so then no sanding will help unless you take it all the way down...if this happens I just lightly sand, reprime, sand, and repaint.

Or is the surface wavy over an area like perhaps due to uneven sanding or bodywork so that there are low spots and high spots? If so then you can sand the high spots and try to get a better form, but if it's too wavy then it would be better to strip it down and redo your bodywork.
