Hello! I have a question about my cooling system. The radiator has two electrical fans but they are not wired up, they do work. When i drive the car its fine but when i get in traffic or stopped at a light it begins to over heat. My question, is there some kind of sensor i can install to turn the fans on when the car gets hot? Thanks!
There is a sensor port on the passenger head, put the temp sensor there. Wire the fans with a relay to take the current, use the sensor for the ground on the relay. Jegs, painless and several vendors sell a wireing kit

But you will still need a good fan relay ( 30A or more ) if it isn't sold with the kit.
If I remember correctly, the sensor port should be threaded 1/2" NPT, but you can always use an adapter if the sensor that comes with the kit doesn't have the same thread size.

An easy way to deal with the sensor is to use a thermostat housing from a 79. It has 2 ports - you can fit the heater hose to one and screw the sensor into the other. The housing is less than $10.00 at the chain parts stores.
Don't use the stock sensor on the rt head. It's set for temps above 210*degrees. I used the summit thermo wiring kit. It's cheap, turns on at 180 and the sensor just needs to be touching a hot spot on the engine. I clamped mine to the thermo housing
