Alternator bracket
Trying to install new pullys on Blueprint 383. I looks like everything will line up beltwise other than the alternator. Im using the bracket from the original 76 L48 engine but it looks like the alt. is sitting about 1 1/2 to 2 inches too deep and should come foreward. Should I be using a different bracket?

It would save yourself a lot of hassle to just swap to a short water pump so you can use all your factory accessories.
Long pump setups place the alternator on the passenger side requiring some wiring changes on some cars.
