potential now 80 re-re-visited Help
Thanks to all who gave me a general insight to these. I stopped a second time to look at this project car. It turns out the guy does want to sell it but has no title :cry He says it's an 80 and he wants 1200$ for it. What's it worth assuming I can get a title. I said I would be interested but I wanted to look into getting a title first. It has painted tops and the aluminum sloted wheels. Interior is shot and it needs painted. He says it will run. How much of the suspension is shot on an 80??? What is one worth in good condition. I mean is it easier to get a turn key or for this price start a project. Thanks.

Really sounds like a project that will cost you a lot of $$$$$. If your budget permits, get one in better shape. You will have more fun, can drive the car for awhile and will cost far less over time. If you really want this car, have it inspected by someone who knows vettes to see what really needs fixing. If the car has sat for long, most everything will need repair.

It sounds like a lot of work. It also sounds like you are going to have troubles getting a title. I would stay away from it unless you are looking to strip it down and rebuild it as a race only car. :nono:
