Re: Most annoying question asked about your C3 ? (verskel)
"Why only 2 seats?" and "I bet you get a lot of tickets." Actually haven't had a ticket since 1981. Knock on wood. Oh almost forgot the oldest one "Won't it crack in the cold weather?"
Re: Most annoying question asked about your C3 ? (68rdstr)
I don't any annoying questions but there is one thing that cracks me up...I'm rebuilding my engine and looking into building a BB so I told some guys that my SB might be for sale and they were all like "WOW!! a corvette engine!" to wich I would reply.. "Well, its a 350"... but still they are ready to pay me twice the price of an LT1 cause its a corvette engine....go figure.

"Why would you want to sit that low to the ground in a little ole car?" Meanwhile I see they're in MINIVAN heaven :U
Also my Dad isn't into cars, and has been telling me since oh I was about 16. "You'll grow out of that cars thing, I did"...that was the statement, I'm now 29 and still get the, "You really like Cars that much?". My answer is OF COURSE, I like different things than you, and most of the guys I see at car shows are older than you (nothing wrong with that you guys are cool...just making the pt to my dad that some people don't ever grow out of the car bug...especially vettes).

"What year is it?" I just point them to my expired MI License Plate on the Front that sez:: ITSA7T6 :jester . Or "how fast does it go?" I say: "I dont know but the speedometer goes to 160." They say: WOW :jester
Yeah !   - "Is it a Stingray ?"
...like stingrays go faster or somethin' -
Then they usually follow up with...."I used to have one of those back in 19__"
'course it was a stingray L-88 with the Tri-Power."
yeah, yeah, keep droolin' buddy ! :smash:
On the kids. I just finally got the car all back together after the repaint (sorry no pics yet...working on the web site when I can find time). I drive through the neighborhood. This 6 year old boy or so, is on a bike, Stops, his mouth drops open, and he just points :D. Not having kids yet, I started to call him Son. Anyway, next time I see him, I'm going to try and find out who his parents are and see if its ok if I spin him around the block. My aunt giving me a ride at age 5 gave me the hook :D
