Help !!!!!
I have a seat of GM Fastburn heads that I aminstalling Comp Beehive 26918 springs on.
I bought a sealed package of valve spring retainers online - #795-16.
Got them yesterday.
Big problem.
Only 15 beehive retainers in package and 1 flat 7 deg retainer with them. Package still has factory sealing and staples in it, but someone could have slipped it apart enough to pull one out and slip the other in. OR - it came that way originally from Comp and no one noticed.
The seller does not have any more and is willing to take them back with full refund.
I told him I would try to find just one retainer first. Northern Auto can get me one but it will be like $15 with shipping.
Comp Cams has not answered my email and I got left on the phone for 1/2 hr before I had to hang up.
SO - anyone got just one?
Any other suggestions other than routes I have taken?
