Default I need help Identifing an engine.

I'm looking at a 79 Camaro that I want to purchase for the engine only. The people that own the car say it is a LT1. The car itself is a piece of crap and is going to the junkyard because the body is in such bad shape. I got an ID # from the engine right behind the alternator. The # is K1020CNU
if any one can help me identify the engine I would appreciated emensly. Its a 350 c.i. I got it started and it sounds pretty nice. How much do you think it is worth?? It dose not burn any smoke. The owners said the engine was put in a long time ago, so I don't think its original. The block color was blue.
They want $800.00 for the whole car which I think is kind of a high price.

According to MSA....
CNU = 250hp 350ci from 1970 Impala W/ powerglide RPO L-65.

Should be orange in 1970.

What is casting # behind drivers side head, by the trans bellhousing??
