Keep in mind my working on cars experience is from a long time ago. I have had this 68 Rdstr for 34 years it has been stored for the last thirty. The speedometer is fast by about 15mph@ 50. If memory serves me I believe that there is/was a plastic gear located on the transmission (4sp) behind where the cable attaches. If this is true can I get the gear replacement and any idea on which one to order and where I'd find it.
Thanks to all in advance!
Jim

Reason: grammar
My 78 L48 4 speed had a cable out from an automatic trany, it made noise and was very fast.
Got the correct gear from Zip and now my speedo reads +/- 1 MPH as compared to my GPS, but the trip and main odometers are off by 26 miles in a 100 mile trip.
