Hello fellow forum members. I have decided to undergo the difficult task of removing the trailing arms (I need to replace the bearings). I have purchased a package of 5 8" lennox bi metal sawszall blades and a 3 oz bottle of cutting fluid. I must cut on either side of the bushing correct? Once done, how do I get the halves of the bolt out? Do you think I will need more blades/fluid? Will I need to support the arm before cutting the bolt? Once removed, how do I seperate the spindle from the trailing arm? I am sending the bearing/spindle assemblies to BAIRS. I have a pair of offset trailing arms I purchased from Van Steel three years ago. Thanks in advance.

Try to pry out the shims for the trailing arms. Once removed you can start cutting. Hopefully you got something in the 14 to 18 tooth variety of blades. These will cut the smoothest and with some cutting fluid you should only need 1 or 2 blades. It helps to support the trailing arm or it will fall out on the second cut. Usually on your foot!
Once cut the bolt halves will fall out of the frame and the center section will be stuck in the trailing arm. Just send it off that way and they will take care of it. If you are not using the trailing arm don't worry about it.
Oh and we are Lenox not Lennox. They are the HVAC guys.
That is helpful. It's funny that they never show the actual time it took like lining up the holes to get the ta bolt in, and the shims in. None of the less helpful. Thanks if the link.
