So long story short I got this vette from my grandparents. Just got it running, and it ran fine for a week and now its idling low (around 500). Sometimes it drops below 500 after you rev it in neutral/park and then stalls.
I put seafoam in the tank to help clean out the fuel system, and that might be whats causing it but I doubt it. Is there a way to adjust the idle on these engines?
I would check your Throttle position sensor. Your want .525 volts at idle or no throttle.
Get the 1982 GM Corvette shop manual and use the troubleshooting guide to help you sort this out. Also check your timing base set-up. It should be 6 degrees BTDC I believe with the tan EST wire disconnected at the distributor (actually near driver side firewall).
